What I Do

Hi! I’m Dave. If you are here, it means you are looking for someone to change the way you work or the way your employees work. And I am here to help you achieve those goals.

I am a certified professional trainer, business coach and management consultant. I am also a certified Organizational Culture Consultant accredited by the American Institute of Business Psychology (AIOBP). What this means is I use understanding of the mind to cultivate a change in the way people work – whether you’re a business owner, CEO, General Manager or a mid-level or low- level employee.

Every individual is different and possess a different mindset – this applies not just in the workplace but also in personal relationships as well.

Over the last 20 years, I have dedicated my life understanding people of all levels in the workplace. I have worked with over 1,000 companies comprising start-ups, SMEs, MNCs, government agencies and others all-over South-East Asia.

My training modules are specially designed for easy understanding and practical learning. As founder and CEO of KCOM Academy, my psychology-based programs are designed specifically to identify areas that will help organisations generate greater efficiency of human capital. My training methods and tools have inspired companies to re-evaluate their people management policies, which results in bigger profits and better working environments.

My Philosophy

One of the key discoveries I have made over the years is that in order to develop better leadership and organizational cultures, a corporate culture evolution is required.

What I mean by that is not about quick fixes such as implementing a sports club for the employees or sending everyone to attend a Microsoft Office workshop. No, a corporate culture change encompasses the way the entire corporation works.

So what exactly is corporate culture?

The Business Dictionary defines corporate or organisational culture to include an organization’s expectations, experiences, philosophy, as well as the values that guide member behaviour, and is expressed in member self-image, inner workings, interactions with the outside world, and future expectations. Culture is based on shared attitudes, beliefs, customs, and written and unwritten rules that have been developed over time and are considered valid.

Culture also includes the organization’s vision, values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits.

Simply stated, organizational culture is “the way things are done around here”.

Then why is a corporate culture evolution required?

Because of people. People change, as workers and as individuals. A person who has worked in a company for 20 years is not the same person he was when he first entered the job as an intern. People grow, people evolve and so must company culture. A company that grows with its people and with time do best to succeed. A company culture must evolve to stay relevant in a changing environment, just as people must change to stay relevant in times of digitalisation.
